The upcoming March 2010 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine features Birmingham businesswoman Doris Phillips, president of RealSource.
The article, “Styled for Success,” is for businesswomen and focuses on the importance of a great first impression at work and in job interviews. Included are before and after photos from a full makeover, including hair, makeup and clothing.
Three other women, all from metro New York, are included in the article. Doris is featured in the opening two page spread of the article.
Hair and makeup were provided by Rita Hazan Studio in New York City. Rita Hazan, the “colorist to the stars” and Oprah guest, personally selected and applied hair color and Sean James Deceurs provided the haircut and style. Celebrity makeup artist Sandy Linter provided makeup and tips. (For more about Rita Hazan, visit http://www.oprah.com/style/Get-to-Know-Rita-Hazan)
"The entire experience was fun and educational. The photo shoots and makeover all took place in New York City. It took two days and involved a surprising number of people. Everything and everybody was first class,” said Ms. Phillips. “I appreciate Good Housekeeping for including me and hope this story will help other women in business understand how to make an appropriate but important first impression.”
